My appreciation for classic Americana-inspired art---specifically pin up and nose art, has always been grand. So much that I decided I wanted to brand a classic pinup on my forearm forever. Unfortunately, I never could find one that suited my personal vision of beauty. In my search for a classic, vintage pin up that looked more like me, a Native New Yorker with roots in the Dominican Republic, I came up with limited results. This prompted me to produce my own series of classic and vintage art inspired pinups featuring women of color and mixed media.
