Late June, 2010, Toronto was the site of the G20 summit, and violent rioting and looting. The rioting only pretended to be about the G20. It was really about rioting, burning and trying to destroy the city I love. I was profoundly affected. Very suddenly, and without understanding why at the time, I changed both my artistic style and content. By July 1st, I had finished my first impressionist painting of Toronto. This is my Impressionism period. This is my healing.
