These images are part of a series I entitled “ Rockscapes of South Florida”. They where taken on location at several rock pits and home development sites in the Pembroke Pines and Miramar areas, mostly off of I-75. In the photographs I tried to capture the illusion of the majestic landscapes of the West, in the Ansel Adams tradition. I used the dramatic light at morning or twilight and wide angel lenses to capture the clouds with the landscapes. Most of these locations are now the homes and shopping centers of the Pines/ Miramar area of South Florida.
