I like to view these works as “short stories” on canvas. By combining traditional portraiture in paint with vintage photography and ephemera, my goal is to create an artistic narrative wherein the viewer may create a unique story based upon their individual interpretation of the visual components of each work. I strive to reflect in each work my passion for vintage photography. One of the ways that I achieve this is by modeling the faces that I have painted on subjects carefully selected from my vast collection of vintage photographic images.
