My favorite subject to paint is Olive Trees. For me, they express the ancient ways. They express wisdom and along the Aegean some people believe that all passing souls leave something of themselves fused into the bark. They are the most beautiful of organic sculptures - rendered from the earth, the sun, sky and the universe. 'Every tree and plant in the meadow seemed to be dancing, those which average eyes would see as fixed and still.' ~ Mevlana Rumi (1207 - 1273)
