Horses were my first subjects as a child. I made many drawings of them while watching westerns. As an adult, I was taught to ride by an accomplished horsewoman. I took every opportunity to spend time with her horses. I love their spirit, their energy and beauty, especially as seen in their lovely eyes, which I often emphasize in a painting.
