When I married my husband, and amateur astronomer, he introduced me to deep space via Hubble photos in Astronomy magazine. I was instantly inspired. What I thought of as a peaceful universe is actually filled with with constant explosive activity. Being an artist who strives for originality, I didn't want to copy the photos so I imagined my own shapes, colors, and narratives. I sometimes paint the moon because spending a quiet evening looking at the moon is one of my favorite things to do with my husband.
